G-BTLM is a PA-20/22- 160 Super Pacer, fitted with a 160 h.p. Lycoming O-320, which I have been flying for the past six years.

I originally found it in Bob Dodson's hangar on Ottawa airport, Kansas and on my second visit I persuaded him to let me buy it.

Before applying for the initial C. of A. I elected to undertake an extensive overhaul, so all the fabric was replaced, the interior was renewed and the avionics changed. The aircraft now has a Nav 12 ( with ILS ), a transponder with mode "C", an ADF and a King KY 195 dual comm giving avionics which appear to be in tune with the age of the aircraft whilst being practical for the sort of flying that I want to do.  It is a full four seater but, having no children to worry about, the rear seat is not insured for passenger liability.

The aircraft holds 30 gallons of fuel, so trips to Scotland, Dublin or the Channel Islands can be achieved in a single hop with plenty of reserve.

With the arrival of the Maltese Falcon, G-BZBF, my wife has suggested that we sell Lima Mike, which is being offered with about 30 months C. of A. remaining, 750 hours run on the engine and a fresh 6 monthly inspection.  The asking price reflects the work that has gone into the aircraft and £ 26,500 plus VAT ( £ 31,150 ) is considered a fair price for a very useable four seat taildragger which can be viewed at Leicester.
