The majority of our work involves the supply of new, FAA-PMA or overhauled parts. FAA-PMA items are the equivalent of a pattern part that you might fit to your car and are interchangeable with the manufacturers original part. In many cases the original part number is prefixed with one of two letters to identify the origin. For example the McFarlane parts have MC in front of the Cessna or Piper number. The use of FAA-PMA parts, on aircraft where the original design authority is the Federal Aviation Administration, is covered in Airworthiness Notice No. 17 paragraph 4.4. Time is money to an engineer who might find it difficult to justify the hours spent on the telephone looking for one particular part. In such cases we are happy to source the part through out extensive data base of new and used parts suppliers. A part which Piper or Cessna show as special order may be held by one of our contacts, either as part of a surplus inventory that they have purchased or because at some time in the past the incorrect part has inadvertently been ordered. We work closely with Surveyors for many of the London Insurers in an attempt to locate suitable parts that will turn a write-off into a repair.Should you require assistance in locating any parts, please do not hesitate to contact us.
