About the company.

HISTORY             The company was originally formed in 1973 by Arthur Heath ( at that time Technical Director of Field Aircraft Services at London Airport ) and Bill Fisher who was employed by Lloyd's of London.  They had met about 10 years previously when Bill had obtained an Avro Lancaster from the French Navy and, after having it registered as G-ASXX, arranged for it to be flown from Sydney Australia to Biggin Hill.   When it arrived Arthur offered to assist in keeping the aircraft flying.

Initially Bill did the sales and Arthur did the maintenance but in 1980 Arthur and his friends were tragically killed in the crash of a B-26 Invader at Biggin Hill.  Bill Fisher continued with the company on a part time basis until he left Lloyd's in 1990.  The connections with the Insurance industry have been retained and agencies have been negotiated for the supply of FAA-PMA parts, American STC's and certified repaired parts.

For two years the company ran a " Salvage Shop " on behalf of Lloyd's Aviation Department, from premises at Tattershall near Lincoln,  and continued to operate from there after the contract had ended.  However in 1998 it was agreed that our stores would relocate to premises closer to our office.  The current premises are next to SKYCRAFT Ltd. and we work closely together as our activities complement one another.

TODAY             We currently market the FAA-PMA Cessna and Piper products produced in Kansas by McFarlane Aviation Inc. and the overhauled engine mounts from Kosola and Associates in Albany, Georgia.   We import new and overhauled propellers from a number of distributors in Canada, the United States and Germany depending who has the best offer on the item that we require.

Aircraft Structures in Enid, Oklahoma are the world largest repairers of the Cessna Caravan and have sold their non Caravan wing repair business, although we can still obtain overhauled wings for aircraft from the Cessna 150 to Piper Navajo.  We still act on their behalf should a European based Caravan require repair.

We offer exchange overhauled nose legs for the Cessna 150, 152 and 172 as well as FAA-PMA nose leg tubes for the Piper PA-28 range and can supply used Piper and Cessna parts, including avionics and engines,  either from stock or through our many suppliers overseas.

Some of our suppliers also ask us to find tired or damaged aircraft and helicopters in Europe so we represent companies as far away as Australia, in addition to those in Canada and North America.

Finally, should be reading this from overseas, we would be pleased to discuss marketing your products in the UK.
